There will be only one Divine Liturgy starting at 9:30am.
SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASSES will begin right after receiving Holy Communion. (Immadiately following the Holy Communion teachers and kids can proceed to their classrooms for the class.)

Please plan on joining us for our Church School Program Graduation
Sunday, May 18th Certificates will be passed out immediately after the combined service Divine Liturgy begins at 9:30 AM

Marriage Seminar, May 3, 2008 - PHOTO ALBUM

The Eleventh annual marriage seminar was held on May 3rd in the main hall. This seminar is mandatory for all couples who are scheduled to be married at Holy Resurrection Serbian Orthodox Cathedral or by the Cathedral clergy elsewhere. The seminar started with registration at 9:45am led by Dn. Damjan Bozic. After registration process Fr. Darko Spasojevic began the program with the Orientation: Review of agenda, Wedding and Rehearsal Dates, Requirements and fees covering all practical aspects for marriage in our Cathedral.

Main presentation was given by Fr. Patrick Rerdon, a parish priest of All Saints, Antiochian Orthodox Church in Chicago. This year theme was “ Marriage: A scriptural perspective”. After lunch, the group picture was taken in front of the Cathedral, and then Fr. Darko gave a presentation on the order and meaning of the Sacrament of Holy Matrimony. Seminar was closed with prayer at 2:00 PM.

Many important tasks were completed but the best result was the Orthodox Christian fellowship - people working together for God and for our parish. Everyone, young and old, wanted to contribute in some way - either all day or a few hours - but they came with the goal of helping our Church.
